How we work
Every project runs the same way. Nothing in it is a surprise, and you can stop at the end of any step and keep what you have paid for.

A first conversation
30 minutes · no cost
You tell us what is slow, breaking, or not built yet. We ask what it costs you today, who depends on it, and what happens if nothing changes. If we are not the right people for it, you hear that here rather than after an invoice.
- What you get
- A straight answer about whether the thing is worth building at all.
- What we need from you
- Half an hour, and whoever already understands the problem.
- 02
A paid discovery
One to two weeks · fixed price
We model the data, set the boundaries between services, choose the infrastructure and price the build. You see the plan while it is being written, not at the end of it.
- What you get
- A written technical plan, a fixed quote for the build, and what it will cost to run each month.
- What we need from you
- Access to whoever understands the current system, and answers inside a day.
- 03
The quote
Written · fixed · yours either way
Scope, delivery date and price in one document. If we cannot commit to a date we say so, and say what has to be resolved before we can.
- What you get
- A number that does not move unless the scope does.
- What we need from you
- A decision. There is no pressure to take it — the plan is yours whether you build with us or not.
- 04
The build
To the date in the quote
Written updates every week in plain language, including the weeks where something did not work. Code, infrastructure and accounts are in your organisation from the first commit, so you are watching it happen rather than waiting for it.
- What you get
- A working system, deployed, with documentation written as it was built.
- What we need from you
- One person who can answer a question and approve a decision.
- 05
When the scope changes
Re-quoted before anything is built
It happens on most projects worth doing. When it does, we price the change in writing and wait for your answer. Nothing gets absorbed quietly and argued about at the end.
- What you get
- A new number before the work, instead of an explanation after the invoice.
- What we need from you
- A day for us to price it properly.
- 06
Afterwards
No handover event
There is nothing to hand over, because none of it was ever held. If you want us to keep maintaining it we quote that separately; if you do not, everything needed to run it is already in your accounts.

- Monitoring, a runbook, and no dependency on us.
- What we need from you
- Nothing.
